Police Union Endorses Moccia

The police union's executive board voted Friday to endorse Mayor Richard A. Moccia for re-election.

The executive board of Norwalk Police Union, Local 1727, on Friday voted unanimously to endorse Mayor Richard A. Moccia for re-election.

“Over the years the Norwalk Police Union has developed a positive working relationship with Mayor Moccia," said union President Thomas Roncinske, Jr. in a news release from Moccia's campaign. "The Mayor's door has always been open to the Police Union and he has addressed and resolved a number of difficult issues with us..”

“I am honored to have received the endorsement from the finest police officers that any mayor or chief elected official could ask for," Moccia said in the news release. "Working with our officers over these last six years has been a pleasure. I look forward to continuing my work with them as Mayor, and continuing to provide them the resources they need to keep Norwalk residents safe.”
