Cops: Boy, 15, Brings BB Gun to Football Game

A boy seen with what looked like a gun at Friday night's football game at Brien McMahon High School was found to have had a BB gun and was arrested, Norwalk police say.

A 15-year-old Norwalk boy brought a BB gun to Friday night's football game at Brien McMahon High School and was later charged with reckless endangerment, Norwalk police said.

School officials were informed of the arrest, which occurred Monday after police started investigating the incident in response to a complaint from a parent. The  boy was also suspended from school, according to police.

Students and parents co-operated with police who were investigating the incident. The pellet gun was capable of shooting plastic bullets. On Monday morning, the boy went to Norwalk Police headquarters on Monroe Street and was issued a summons to appear in juvenile court.
