All Norwalk Public Schools Closed Friday, Feb. 14

Norwalk Public Schools are closed on Friday, Feb. 14, due to the weather.

The Norwalk Public Schools website announced Thursday evening that all public schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 14.

The school district's central office will also be closed.

The city snow emergency remains in effect.

Norwalk garbage pickups resume on Friday, according to this announcement on the city government website:

"Garbage and recycling collection services for the remainder of this week will follow the Holiday Schedule: Thursday pick up will be on Friday and Friday pick up will be on Saturday. The Transfer Station will be open today. For more information on these services, please visit the Norwalk website at www.norwalkct.org or contact the Customer Service Center at (203) 854-3200."

  • Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph.
  • Sunday: A slight chance of snow after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 27. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
  • Sunday night: Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 8.
