Stamford Woman Arrested for Biting Man's Back; Damaging His Car

A Stamford woman was arrested on Thursday after she allegedly assaulted a Norwalk man she met on Facebook and damaged his car, according to police.

Police were called to 173 South Main St. after a resident reported that he wad been assaulted by a woman that he invited to his home after meeting her on Facebook, police said. According to the victim, Lesis Vega-Ramirez, 25, of 705 Pacific Street, came to his home with her three children so that they could meet in person for the first time. The two began to argue, so the victim asked Vega-Ramirez to leave, police said. Vega-Ramirez then called a friend to pick her up.

According to police, after her friend arrived, Vega-Ramirez went outside, put her children in the car, and then proceeded to pick up a rock and use it to smash the victim's car window. When the victim went outside and grabbed Vega-Ramirez to try and stop her, she began to punch him and then bit him on the back, police said.

When police arrived, Vega-Ramirez told officers that the victim wouldn't let her leave, which is why she bit him, but denied damaging his car, police said. Vega-Ramirez's friend, however, told police that she saw Vega-Ramirez damage the car and punch and bite the victim.

Vega-Ramirez was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and assault. Her bond was set at $2,500 and she is scheduled to appear in court on May 2.
