On Monday, Oct. 14 Harry Rilling received the endorsement of The Norwalk Professional Fire Fighters Association (IAFF Local 830) for Mayor of Norwalk.
In their endorsement of Rilling, Norwalk Fire Fighters Association Union President Elefterios Petrides was quoted in a release from Rilling saying, “We’re very proud to announce that we are endorsing Harry Rilling for Mayor. Harry understands that firefighters are professionals and as mayor he will treat firefighters with respect. He will be an open and hands on mayor that will always ensure that firefighters have a seat at the table and are able to give input into how Norwalk’s public safety is run.”
“As a former union member, union president, and department leader of Norwalk, I am proud and humbled to have the endorsement of our hard working fire fighters,” Rilling said in the release. “These are our everyday heroes that put their lives on the line to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Norwalk.”

On Oct. 10th, Rilling announced a three-point plan to bring a 21st century education system to Norwalk.
