As the City of Norwalk Fire Department Headquarters, Station 2 is the busiest fire house in town.  It isMore centrally located and is the first responder to incidents on Interstate 95, Metro North railroad, and several large housing and mercantile complexes.  

The station itself is manned by engine, ladder, and rescue trucks as well as a command car.  It is also the home office of the Chief, Assistant Chief, and the training division.

The Rowayton Fire Department is a private volunteer organization that selects and trains its members.  It reliesMore upon Rowayton Civic Association dues and owns and maintains the fire station, but the district pays the utilities and provides and owns the equipment.  

It is centrally located in Rowayton on Rowayton Avenue.
