This Weekend, I Built a Dinosaur

When someone asks you what you did this weekend, that could be one of the answers you give. Check out what's happening around town this weekend.

If you're looking for weekend plans, don't panic — I pulled together some interesting events from the Norwalk Patch calendar.

Kickboxing for a Cure

Title Boxing Club Norwalk in Norwalk is hosting a Mikey's Way Foundation fundraiser on Friday, June 28.

Mikey's Way seeks help connect and enrich the lives of children suffering with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, according to its Facebook page.

Cruise & Cuisine

Maritime Cruise and Cuisine Fridays includes a Norwalk Harbor sunset cruise with the Norwalk Seaport Association’s “CJ Toth” ferry, leaving from Sheffield Island Dock at 6 p.m. Fridays and returning at 8 p.m. Guests then walk one block to Mama’s Boy Restaurant for a three-course meal.

Live Music

Green Eyed Lady is performing at Norwalk's Ash Creek Saloon on Friday, June 28.

Build a Dinosaur

Yeah, you read that right. You can help build a dinosaur sculpture on Saturday, June 29, at POP City, 68 Wall St. Be the envy of all your friends when you tell them you created a critter over the weekend.

Norwalk Arts Festival

I hear tell there are some people who start holiday shopping early. If you're one of those people, the June 29-30 Norwalk Arts Festival is a good place to start.
