Denim & Diamonds!, a brand new event to support victims of domestic violence and the services provided by the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, will take place Saturday Oct. 19th at Hotel Zero Degrees, the chic, newly-opened boutique hotel in Norwalk.
The fundraiser is expected to draw supporters from Fairfield County and beyond for an evening of sustainable food, wine-pairings, dancing, and more.
“We are so excited to bring this new event to the community,” said Laura Campbell, Director of Development for DVCC in a release. “To have Hotel Zero Degrees and other local vendors partnering with us is phenomenal, and we are getting wonderful support from corporations and area businesses. Get together with your friends and join us because it’s going to be a really fun night for an excellent cause.”
The event will feature sustainable food stations with wine-pairings, an open bar and dancing to music by Kunjan Collective. Dress for the evening is “denim & diamonds” (casual chic). Individual tickets for the evening are $125.
DVCC provides legal, counseling, housing and economic empowerment services to nearly 4,000 individuals impacted by domestic violence each year and is the only domestic violence agency serving the communities of Stamford, Norwalk, Westport, New Canaan, Darien, Wilton and Weston.
PeaceWorks, the violence prevention platform of DVCC, reaches between 20,000 – 30,000 young people every year through in-school, after school and teen programs. The October date for the event coincides with National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, during which activities and programs across the country focus on increasing awareness about domestic violence and available services.
