Live Music and a Haunted House This Weekend in Norwalk

Here are five things Norwalk residents need to know for the weekend of Aug. 9-11.

Here are a few things to know about Norwalk from Aug. 9 through Aug. 11 to help you plan your weekend. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.

  1. The weather: The weekend forecast in Norwalk is predicting scattered thunder on Friday, partly cloudy on Saturday and mostly sunny skies on Sunday, with temperatures in the low to mid-80s all weekend.

  2. Check out a haunted house: Visitors to Sheffield Lighthouse won’t have to wait for October for spine-tingling, ghost-hunting adventures.  Ghosts, ghouls and goblins will be waiting for them as they alight from the ferry during the Norwalk Seaport Association's "Haunted Lighthouse" weekend. Saturday at 11 a.m. Roundtrip tickets to the island are $22.00 for adults, $12.00 for children ages 4-12 and $5.00 for children, 3 and younger.   • Go to hear some live music: Green Eyed Lady is playing at Ash Creek Saloon, located at 2 Wilton Ave., at 9:30 p.m. Friday. Call 203-47-7500 for more details.

  • Head out to the farm: The fifth annual Easton Farm Tour is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This celebration of Easton, a local farming community within Fairfield County CT, is a self-guided tour of Easton farms.  The free event begins at the Easton Firehouse Green, One Center Road, Easton.
