Gone to the Dogs: Mia Has Her "Muttigree." 2nd Pet Store Task Force Hearing Set for Wednesday

Sweet Mia survived Parvo and is being fostered by OPIN. Also, on Wed., Dec. 4 the Pet Store Task force will convene the second of two public hearings on possible legislation requiring pet stores to sell only rescue dogs.

Mia, Sweet Girl with her Muttigree

Mia, a 6-month old who is slightly shy and being fostered through OPIN. Her DNA test revealed she is a French Bulldog-English Bulldog-Staffie-Beagle mix as well as a small combination of other miscellaneous breeds.

Mia almost died from Parvo, a disease affecting unvaccinated dogs, and one that is usually fatal.  She fought hard, beat the disease and is ready for her new home.  Mia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and in an OPIN foster home waiting for her permanent home.

To meet Mia, please contact OPIN, the nonprofit that supports the Stamford Animal Shelter, at:  (203) 348-4397, email: outreach@opinpets.org or, fill out an online application at: opinpets.org.  See all the pets available for adoption at either the shelter or in OPIN’s foster network:  www.opinpets.org
