Pet First Aid Seminar, Free Talk: "Balance and Dizziness" as We Age

  • Jan. 15 at 6:00p.m. Pet First Aid and Disaster Preparedness Seminar. The Veterinary Cancer Center and Adopt-A-Dog Inc., in conjunction with the Greenwich Emergency Medical Service, introduces a public seminar for pet first aid and disaster readiness.

    Be prepared for the next hurricane, winter storm or days without power for your four legged companions! Come learn the best practices and be prepared for your pet in a case of an emergency.   • RSVP by Jan. 17 for this lecture:“Managing Balance & Dizziness: Ways to Keep You Safe” Maplewood at Strawberry Hill is hosting a free seminar with board-certified Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon, Dr. Robert Weiss. Learn more about the human balance system and the changes associated as we age. The role of early diagnosis and methods of fall prevention will be discussed, as well as ways to improve stability. The talk will take place at 5:30 P.M light supper; 6:00-7:00 PM Presentation on Wednesday, Jan. 22, Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, 73 Strawberry Hill Avenue, East Norwalk.   • Open Door Shelter and Whole Foods. On Tuesday Jan. 14, Shop at the Whole Foods Stores in Darien or Westport.  5% of sales are being donated to Open Door Emergency Shelter in Norwalk.
