Here's what to know and what's happening in Norwalk in the week ahead:

Fairfield County restauranteurs Barry Brennan of Darien, Gaynor Brennan of Stamford and Mac Mackenzie of New Canaan are hosting a grand opening of Brennan’s Tap Room in Norwalk on Thursday, Sept. 12. Mayor Richard Moccia will kick off the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The event will feature live entertainment, raffles, giveaways and drink specials. The brothers and their childhood friend have collectively owned and operated seven different establishments in the past four decades.

"The Norwalk Community Chorale invites you to join our 70-member four-part chorus on Tuesday, Sept. 10 [...] There are no tryouts or residency requirements. Our Chorale is made up of local community people who share a love of music and singing! New members are welcome—especially tenors and basses! We rehearse on Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. [...]" -- from the event listing on Darien Patch

"Every Monday evening from 6-8 p.m., people gather at Person-to-Person (P2P) to sort and display gently-used clothing donations. As you work alongside other volunteers, there’s the opportunity to socialize and network. And once the sorting is done, you’re invited to join us up the road at Darien Social to continue the conversation and camaraderie." -- from the event listing on Norwalk Patch.

"From the homely aspirin to the most sophisticated prescription drug on
the market, all drugs come with side effects. Many are minor, some are just an
inconvenience, a few are serious, and some are just plain strange.  Many prescription drugs have surprisingly good side effects – CT Pharmacy will be here to share with you the good news on some of your regularly prescribed medications." -- from the event listing on Darien Patch

The Norwalk Democratic primary takes place Tuesday, Sept. 10. You can check here to see where you vote and whether you're registered.
