Jeffrey Spahr New Board President of Learning Disabilities Group

City's assistant corporation counsel is elected president of the board for East Norwalk-based the Connecticut Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities.

By day Jeffry Spahr is the deputy corporation counsel for Norwalk city government, but in his free time he's been an advocate for parents of children with learning challenges.

Now Spahr can continue that activity as the new board president for the Connecticut Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities (CACLD).  The nonprofit group offers support to individuals, families, caregivers, and professionals by providing information, education and consultation while promoting public awareness and understanding.

The 40-year-old organization's offices, book store and research library are in Suite 15-5 at 25 Van Zant St. in East Norwalk.
