Southbury Women’s Club Calls for Artist Submissions for 9th Annual Fall Fine Arts Festival

Southbury Women’s Club is seeking artists and handcrafters for 9th Annual Fall Fine Arts Festival, September 7, 2013

Southbury Women’s Club invites local and national artists and handcrafters to submit an application for the 9th Annual Fall Fine Arts Festival!

Our juried festival will be held on September 7, 2013 on the picturesque Southbury’s Green.  During the festival, Southbury opens its doors and pedestrian paths to finest artisans who transform our Green into a living work of art!

For the residents of our area this has become a treasured avenue to buy beautiful
art and handcrafts at reasonable prices.  The festival also includes tantalizing
foods, live music, a wellness booth and children’s activities.

The Fall Fine Arts Festival of Southbury celebrates all facets of the art community.  Artists who produce original works in any medium are invited to apply for participation. Spots are assigned on a first come, first serve basis – and many returning artisans have already applied to ensure their spot. A single 10'x12' space is available for $65 until July 31 when the price increases to $75. Double spaces are also available.

Interested parties are encouraged to download the application at http://www.southburywomensclub.org/Fall_Fine_Arts_Festival.html
or for more information contact Nannette Dorsey or Lauren Brenneman at FallFineArtsFestival@gmail.com  or 203-706-0724.

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel not include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer a perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
