Mike Parlani snapped a tie with an RBI double in the top of the sixth inning Wednesday as Norwalk defeated McMahon 5-3 in the quarterfinals of the FCIAC baseball playoffs.

Norwalk, the No. 6 seed, will take on No. 2 Danbury in the semifinals on Thursday at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard (5 p.m.) Staples faces top seed St. Joseph in the other semifinal.

Norwalk's James Cooksey, who no-hit McMahon last week, went the distance for the Bears, allowing eight hits. The Senators, who dropped to 16-5, scored three runs in the fifth to erase an early 3-0 deficit.
