Westhill assistant Tom Keyes has been named the new boys basketball at Norwalk High School, the Norwalk Hour reported Monday afternoon.

Keyes, 29,  replaces Bobby Trimboli, who resigned in January after spending four seasons as the Bears' coach.

Keyes spent one season as an assistant at Westhill after a three-year tenure as the head coach at the High School of Applied Communication in New York.

Baseball

Norwalk 9, Greenwich 7 -- Tom Sullivan smacked  a two-run home run and also walked with the bases loaded for the Bears.  Matt Ederle had two triples and drove in three runs for Norwalk.

Girls lacrosse

McMahon 14, St. Bernard 4

Norwalk 16, Barlow 11 -- Christine Mace scored six goals for the Bears, who have won four of five after starting 0-4.

Boys lacrosse

McMahon 8, Fairfield Ludlowe 7
