McMahon Baseball Upset By New Britain In Class LL Quarterfinals

Senators fall 4-0 to the Golden Hurricane and finish the season at 18-6

The goal of the McMahon baseball team to reach the state finals ended two games short as the Senators were upset by No.6 seed New Britain 4-0 Saturday in the quarterfinals of the CIAC Class LL state tournament at Ansonia's Nolan Field.

Albert Pienkowski tossed a complete game four-hitter for the Golden Hurricane, who made two runs off McMahon ace Bryan Daniello in the first inning hold up.

The third-seeded Senators finished the season with an 18-6 record.  Pienkowski struck out six and walked three.
