Qigong Film at Norwalk Senior Center

On Tuesday, April 19th, Bill Wrenn will present a film and demonstration of Qigong (pronounced “chee-gung”) an ancient Chinese system of gentle exercise and meditation.  Qigong, translated as energy work or skill, was designed to improve health, sharpen mental focus, aid balance, build core strength and produce deep relaxation.  Qigong practice resembles Tai Chi, but is less complex and easier to learn. The film is titled: Ancient Chinese Healing for the 21st Century.  Originally broadcast on PBS, the film shows scenes of hundreds of people practicing Qigong in China, including a 95 year old Qigong Master, who still teaches this practice to younger people.  There are also interviews with MDs and traditional Chinese healers discussing the incredible health benefits of this ancient art.Bill leads a weekly Qigong class at the Senior center on Wednesdays from 9:30 – 10:30.  At this special presentation, he will answer questions about the film and lead the group in a brief practice session.  For more information about this presentation or to find Qigong classes in the Norwalk area, visitwww.MovingHarmony.com.
