Fundraiser To Help Make Improvements To The Norwalk Concert Hall

With a seating capacity of over 1,000 seats, Norwalk Concert Hall, located within the Norwalk City Hall Complex, is one of the largest music venues in the area. Unfortunately, due to outdated sound, lighting and stage equipment, the hall is underutilized. Talented musicians from all over the country would love to perform in the Norwalk Concert Hall, however, only those people with sufficient backing/funding can afford to rent the equipment from outside vendors, which currently is necessary. With your help, this extraordinary space can be updated, allowing us to: •Attract a much wider range of professional musical and performing groups to the Concert Hall •Generate funding to help continue to improve and maintain the Hall •Identify The City of Norwalk and Fairfield County as a rich and thriving musical and performing arts community •Bring business to local area restaurants, hotels and shops in our home town! "So You Think You've Got Talent 2013" is the first step in funding this very important project. This amazing talent show features people from all over the tri-state area competing for a Grand Prize of $5,000! Second Prize is $2,500 and Third Prize is $1,000. More than 100 people will be auditioning and the final 12 (who are chosen by a panel of experienced judges) will showcase their talent the night of September 28, 2013 at the Norwalk Concert Hall. And it gets even better because the audience gets to vote for the winner!!! Last year's show attracted over 115 contestants. From an 8 year old dancer to an 85 year old singer, people traveled great distances to audition. On the night of the show, more than half the concert hall was filled (550 people) by audience members who were able to vote for their favorite performer. That night, the sense of community was evident, as was the overwhelming vision of what this magnificent Concert Hall could truly be once the necessary upgrades are in place. By contributing to this cause, you will be giving people just like yourself the opportunity to showcase their talents (and possibly win a big cash prize), while also helping to showcase this magnificent Concert Hall — a place where today’s popular artists can start performing, while tomorrow’s talent can begin envisioning their future on the stage. We have launched a fundraising campaign on IndieGogo but have less than 45 days to raise the needed funds to produce the show. Once that goal is met, all net proceeds from ticket sales and advertising will be donated to the Concert Hall. We anticipate that number being upwards of $60k! Please visit our campaign soon at: http://igg.me/at/SYTYGT-2013/x/2552186 Or you can make a donation on our website: www.GotTalent2013.com and click the Donations tab. Even if you cannot donate funds, you can help us by spreading the word to your friends through your Facebook account, Twitter or simply emailing the link to everyone you know! Purchasing tickets to the show is another way you can help. Simply go to www.GotTalent2013.com to purchase tickets.
