Mondays @ 7 Group Sponsors a Presentation and Workshop, March 12th, Using Social Media Networking in Today’s World

March 10, 2012 – The Mondays @ 7 job networking organization will sponsor a presentation by group members David Shlian and Thomas Griffen on March 12th.  Mr. Shlian’s presentation will cover the placement of contact and branding information on outgoing emails as a part of the “signature.”  Mr. Griffen will address LinkedIn profiles with tips, strategies and branding techniques to make them stand out from the crowd.  A workshop will follow where participants apply the teachings provided by Messrs. Shlian and Griffen.  Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops. The event will take place at the Westport United Methodist Church, 49 Weston Road in Westport (Exit 42 off the Merritt Parkway.)  The agenda is posted as follows:

 

  1. 7:00 – 7:30 am – Open networking with coffee and bagels
  2. 7:30 – 8:00 am – Elevator speeches
  3. 8:00 – 9:15 am – Social Media Presentations by David Shlian and Tom Griffen
  4. 9:15 – 11:00 am – Workgroups (apply/practice tips, skills and techniques)

Founded in Spring 2009, the Mondays @ 7 group is one of the premier job networking organizations in Fairfield County.  The group’s membership exceeds 200 business professionals, actively involved in a job search.  Member titles span the gamut from management, accounting/finance, marketing/sales, creative services, human resources, information technology, education, engineering, supply chain to administrative and other areas of endeavor.  Regular meetings are held at the United Methodist Church, 49 Weston Road, Westport, CT, Monday mornings at 7:00 am.
