Back To School? Not So Fast.

Hurricane Irene delays activities for teachers.

Back to school for teachers? Not so fast. Teachers were scheduled to report for work on Monday, but announced that all public school buildings in the city will be closed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

In addition, convocation at has been canceled, as well.

A decision on teacher workday, which is scheduled for Tuesday, won't be made until officials have the chance to assess the damage further.
