$35M Paid for Land at West Ave and Planned "Putnam Ave" in Norwalk

The city of Norwalk will collect $175,000 in tax on the transaction.

Topping the recent property transactions recorded at Norwalk City Hall is the sale of property at 1 Putnam Ave. & 63 West Ave from "95/7 Enterprises LLC" to Norwalk Land Development, LLC on Nov. 26, 2013 for $35,000,000.

According to Town Clerk Rick McQuaid a total of $175,000 tax on the transaction will come back to the city. "The property falls within an enterprise zone, which is an economic development designation, so they only pay city tax," McQuaid said. "But there are guidelines for the project for how long they have to start construction."
