Video: Council Approves Lockwood Lane Sewers, Dam Removal

The Common Council Tuesday approved both $2.2 million for larger storm sewers on Lockwood Lane and a proposal to remove the Flock Process Dam

The Common Council unanimously voted Tuesday to approve $2.2 million to replace storm drainage sewers on Lockwood Lane with larger pipes.

City officials plan to hire FGB Construction Co. for the Lockwood Lane Storm Drainage Improvement Project. (For city Public Works Director Harold Alvord's explanation of the purpose of the project, see the second video for this article.)

In a separate matter, the council also gave its nod to the idea of removing an old dam on the Norwalk River, north of Perry Avenue. (For Alvord's explanation of this project, see the first video.)
