Single Stream Recycling in Norwalk Starts on July 1

The following statement has been released by the City of Norwalk:

Please begin using your new single stream recycling carts this week.  After July 1, only the new recycling carts will be emptied of recycled materials.  There will be no change to your regular day of collection. Be advised that your garbage will still be picked up in your usual cans, and the blue cart is for recycling only.

This is your opportunity to further contribute to the quality of life in your City, save City funds, enhance the environment and save energy.  Look at the tips stamped into the cover of your new recycling cart and recycle everything that can be separated.  You can make a difference.

For more information and a printable Single Stream Recycling flyer, visit the City of Norwalk website, www.norwalkct.org  and look at the Garbage, Recycling, and Yard Waste information on the left side of the home page. You may also call the City’s Customer Service Department at 203-854-3200.
