Rilling Makes the Rounds Thursday on a "Thank You Tour"

Harry Rilling, Democratic nominee for mayor, is traveling around Norwalk on Thursday to say, "thank you" to Norwalk Democrats and all those who supported his efforts in the primary election. His schedule is as follows: 

  • 7:00am - East Norwalk Train Station (7:00am-8:00am)
  • 1:00pm - Penny's Diner, 212 East Avenue, Norwalk
  • 1:30pm - Family Diner, 71 Main Street, Norwalk
  • 2:00pm - New York Bakery, 52 Main Street, Norwalk
  • 2:30pm - Outside of Norwalk Public Library
  • 3:00pm - Walk Washington Street to meet shop owners/shoppers
  • 3:30pm - Visit Washington Village
  • 4:00pm - Visit Roodner Court
  • 4:30pm - Walk Rowayton Village to meet shop owners/shoppers
Rilling is a member of the Norwalk Zoning Commission, and has been an active participant in civic life in Norwalk since returning from four years in the U.S. Navy in 1971, according to his website.

Rilling was born and raised in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School, Iona College and University of New Haven, where he received a Master’s in Public Administration, according to his website. Rilling served 41 years on the Norwalk Police Department, including 17 years as the Chief of Police, until his retirement in 2012. He is currently employed as a compliance manager in the private sector.
