The congressman will be joined by local, state and federal representatives for individuals and businesses affected by the storm.

A release from the office of U.S. Congressman Jim Himes:

On Saturday, December 1, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) will hold an information session where representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will outline the services they offer to those affected by Superstorm Sandy, including individual assistance for home owners and physical disaster loans and economic injury loans for businesses affected by the hurricane. The meeting will include an overview of assistance available for those who wish to elevate their homes and businesses to avoid future flood damage.

After the information session, there will be a break-out session where home and business owners will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from FEMA, the SBA, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and other state and federal agencies to discuss their individual cases. Officials from Bridgeport, Darien, Fairfield, Norwalk, Greenwich and Westport will also be on hand to answer municipality-specific questions about permitting and other requirements.
