Norwalk Councilman Miklave Announces Possible Mayoral Run

Miklave announced Monday plans to begin fundraising for the November 2013 event.

Democratic Council Member Matt Miklave of District A announced Thursday morning his plans to explore the possibility for a run for Mayor of Norwalk.

The four-term council member announced he'd filed paperwork with the Town Clerk and will begin fundraising for a possible run in the November 2013 election.

“It is no secret that I have had serious disagreements with the Moccia Administration’s handling of the Board of Education, city budgeting, economic development and the treatment of city workers," Miklave said in an email. "I want to do more than simply criticize the current administration. I want to be part of a larger discussion about what we can do to change the trajectory of our city."
