Mayor: Library Extends Hours; Independence Day Celebrations

Money has been found in the city budget to extend Norwalk Public Library hours to 8:30 p.m. each weeknight and open the library Wednesday afternoons; July 4 is Celebrated on the Green and Venezualan Americans celebrate the Venezualan national holiday.

and events take place on the Norwalk Green today, starting at noon, Mayor Richard A. Moccia said in pointing out one of the week's event highlights.

will have expanded hours starting this week, with a kickoff event including music and henna hand painting on Wednesday evening.
