Lane Closures 9 AM to 3 PM Thursday on Rt. 53 Near Merritt
Northbound traffic will alternate with southbound traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday on Rt. 53 at the Merritt Parkway underpass.
Expect delays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, July 17 on Chestnut Hill Road (state Route 53) near the Merritt Parkway as the state has the highway overpass examined as part of a bridge safety and evaluation program.
Northbound traffic will alternate with southbound traffic on one lane of the road in order to give crews space to work, according to an announcement by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
The work takes place here, on Rt. 53 between Thistle Lane and Field Street.
