Five South Norwalk Democrats have forced a primary for the District B Norwalk Democratic Town Committee through a successful petition. The primary will be held on March 6.
The five-people slate for the primary include:
- Travis Simms
- Faye Bowman
- Nabil Valencia
- Sandra Stokes
- Ernie Dumas.
The Norwalk Democratic Town Committee is made up of five districts with seven members from each district. On January 12, caucuses were held to endorse candidates from each district.
Party rules say that individuals have the right to primary the endorsed slate by collecting petition signatures from registered Democrats in the district. The slate collected nearly 200 signatures in their effort.
