Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

This event is being held rain or shine.
 
Please have your driver’s license and / or vehicle registration readily available - Residents only! 

No commercial (business) material accepted.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTES INCLUDE:

Garage :    Gasoline, auto care products, oil-based paints, stains, thinners, spray paints, etc.

Garden :    Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, chemical fertilizers, etc

Household:    Cleaners, polishes, mercury thermometers, pet care products, pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, etc.


ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:

• Ammunition/flares or explosives (call Norwalk Police Department (854-3000)
• Latex paint (remove lid, let dry, throw in garbage)
• Medical & biological waste
• Asbestos (State Health Department)
• Radioactive material
• Cooking oil
• Electronics - Norwalk residents only – bring to the Norwalk Transfer Station
