Energy Audit by East Norwalk Electric Department at Ludlow Village

According to Karen Paterno, spokeswoman for East Norwalk Electric Department: "Energy audits are being conducted at two low-income apartment complexes in Norwalk: Ludlow Village through July 5 and at the Seaview Apartments, from July 11 through 22."

The East Norwalk Electric Department made the following announcement on Wednesday, June 28:

"In an effort to continue to keep energy bills more affordable, the East Norwalk Electric Department is offering free home energy audits to two low-income apartment complexes in Norwalk this summer. 

“'An in-home energy audit can help save energy and lower energy bills by up to 20 percent annually. It is one of the easiest ways to save on your energy bill,' explains George Leary, general manager, of The Third Taxing District (TTD), which operates the East Norwalk Electric Department.

"Competitive Resources Inc. (CRI), a Wallingford-based energy efficiency contractor, will be conducting energy audits at Ludlow Village through July 5 and at the Seaview Apartments, from July 11 through 22.

"During the home energy audit, CRI’s certified technicians will make energy saving improvements that include identifying and sealing air leaks and drafts, installing improved lighting and water-saving devices, identifying inefficient appliances, insulation, and heating/cooling systems, and providing valuable information on available rebates, tax credits and low interest energy efficiency loans."
