  • Kie Westby (R): In a statement released on his website, Kie Westby demanded the impeachment of U.S Attorney General Eric Holder for his “gross negligence, obfuscation, and cover up” in the federal Fast & Furious case.

  • Wayne Winsley (R): Wayne Winsley, a candidate for the Third District seat to U.S Congress, released a statement advocating opposition to the upcoming decision by the Supreme Court on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act otherwise known as “ObamaCare.”
  • Rosa DeLauro (D): U.S Rep. Rosa DeLauro’s Paycheck Fairness Act, which would have modified the 1938 Fair Labor Standards Act was rejected by Republican-dominated Senate, according to the Norwich Bulletin.  

4th District

  • Steve Obsitnik (R): Steve Obsitnik has progressed to ‘Contender’ status, the third step in the ‘Young Guns’ program to which he responded, "This is another important step in this campaign," said Steve Obsitnik. "We have proven that we will have the resources, organization, and message to wage a successful bid this November." More details can be found in the press release published on his website
  •  Jim Himes (D): Congressman Jim Himes released a statement on Friday, June 16th regarding the Dream Act. He said, “I applaud the President for making the right decision to end the horrendous prospect that DREAM children will be deported from the only country the know.” Read the rest on his website.

  • Andrew Roraback (R): According to The Register Citizen, Congressional candidate, Andrew Roraback has begun seeking donations from lobbyists and political action committees (PACs). “Now that the legislative session is over, I am soliciting lobbyists,” he said. “I know them, they know me. Many of them are my friends.”
  • Chris Donovan (D): Chris Donovan’s staff posted this update on his Facebook page- “Chris is the candidate in the race with the largest percentage of his money raised within Connecticut!”
