Be Aware: Lanes To Close On I-95 Next Week

Traffic is bound to increase on I-95 around Norwalk next week. Chris Perone, state representative (D-Norwalk) is reporting that bridge maintenance on the Strawberry Hill Avenue underpass will result in lane closures on I-95 northbound between Exit 15 (Route 7 North) and Exit 17 (Route 33) next Tuesday, January 17.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning).

"This bridge project, while only scheduled for one evening, could really impact residents. I encourage folks to use alternate routes next Tuesday evening so they don’t get caught with delays,” said Rep. Perone.
