Apartment Burglarized After Package With Wrong Name Is Delivered
Tenant's daughter heard noise from front door, but didn't investigate.
A box Federal Express delivered to a woman's Ridge Street apartment on Friday addressed to a stranger may explain why her door was kicked in Saturday, with only the box missing afterward.
Saturday night the woman told police the box was addressed to "Jillian Willks," which is not her name. She said the box was heavy, about 1 1/2 feet-by-1 1/2 feet in dimension, and sealed with tape labeled "Fragile."
She said her daughter was home and heard a noise from the front door of the apartment at around 5:45 p.m., but didn't investigate it.
