Woman Thrown From Vehicle in I-95 Rollover

An unidentified Connecticut woman flipped her Jeep Wrangler and was ejected in an accident southbound on Interstate 95 between Exits 17 and 18 today in Westport. She was transported to Norwalk Hospital.

A Connecticut woman was reportedly treated for a head laceration, among other possible injuries, at Norwalk Hospital after being ejected from her vehicle in a rollover accident that occurred on I-95 northbound, between exits 17 and 18, at about 10:36 a.m. today.

According to a report from the Westport Fire Department, the woman’s Jeep Wrangler rolled in the accident, causing her to be ejected from the vehicle. State Police and Westport EMS were reportedly first on the scene, where they treated the driver for a head laceration.

According to the report, the vehicle came to rest on the passenger side under the Hales Road overpass. Westport Firefighters assisted Westport EMS in preparing the patient for transport to Norwalk Hospital.

Speedi Dri was applied to the roadway to absorb spilled fluids from the crash. State Police are reportedly investigating. The last Westport Fire unit left the scene at 11:18 a.m., the report states.
