Woman Accused Of Possessing Drugs While A Hospital Patient
Hospital employee alleges finding contraband as woman was being released.
A city woman was arrested Wednesday by warrant after she allegedly was found in possession of drugs while she was a patient in Norwalk Hospital.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Cotto said a hospital employee contacted police on May 3 to report finding Heather Kruger carrying drugs when she was being released.
Officers reported finding her carrying two glass jars and two baggies containing a green, leafy material. They said she also had a container filled with seeds and a baggie that appeared to contain mushrooms.

Cotto said the green, leafy material tested positive for marijuana in the amount of 72 grams, and the mushrooms tested postive for being hallucinogenic.
Kruger, 30, of 8 Lubrano Pl., was charged with two counts of illegally manufacturing, distributing or selling a prescription drug, possession of a hallucinogen or marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of illegal possession of narcotics near a school, and two counts of illegal sale or possession of narcotics near a school.

She was held on $20,000 bond and given a court date of May 25.
