Westport PD: Teen Busted Trying to Hide Bags of Marijuana "Down Her Pants"

The teen was taken into custody after police charged her with sale of a controlled substance just before midnight on Monday, police said.

Westport police stopped Jaymee King, 18, of Norwalk, on Post Road East Saturday after an officer noticed the vehicle she was operating had tinted windows and had no visible DMV tinting sticker, according to a police report.

Once stopped, the officer reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, police said. The officer then witnessed King allegedly conceal a bag with a green, leafy substance down her pants as she sat in the front driver’s seat, police said.

King later gave the officer the bag, which contained several smaller bags of marijuana, police said. King’s vehicle was subsequently searched and produced more contraband and paraphernalia.

King’s passenger, identified as Alexander Balitsos, was also searched. Inside of Balitsos’ backpack police found a bag of marijuana and a metal pipe containing marijuana residue, police said. He was issued an infraction for possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana, police said.

King was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance (narcotics), possession of a controlled substance (non-narcotics), sale of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the arrest report.

She was released after posting a $5,000 bond. She is due in State Superior Court in Norwalk on February 14.

Is it really necessary to publish these stories and photos. I mean really pot !!?? And don't give me the "it will deter others excuse"...We've all been 18 right...just some of us luckier than others with stuff like this. So unnecessary.

"..........and had no visible DMV tinting sticker....." Are vehicles with "factory tinted windows" supposed to have this "DMV Tinting Sticker"? How are the police able to tell the difference betwen "factory tinted" windows and "after market" tinted windows? I guess they are just trained "experts" in the subject. Just like they are in speed "estimation". I have had 4 vehicles tinted (to the legally allowable limit) in CT over the years and not one of tint shops ever put a "DMV Tinting" on my windows. So are all of these shops violating the Law because they are not putting these stickers on the cars they work on? Why aren't the police cracking down on these non-conforming tint shops!? Inquiring minds want to know!
