Two Norwalk Men Arrested On Drug Charges

A pair of Norwalk men were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and more after being stopped for a traffic violation.

Police say, Paul Kurensky, 41, and Dennis Rodia, 44, both of Norwalk were pulled over for cutting off a police cruiser on East Ave. causing the officer to brake to avoid a collision.

According to police, when the officer approached the car he noticed a six-pack of unopened beer, and large sums of money scattered on the back seat. Upon further inspection, police say, there was also a roll of money on the center console of the car and Rodia was leaning over, seemingly, in an attempt to hide something. The amount of cash discovered in the vehicle was not given. 

Police say, the car was searched and both men were arrested after finding two silver cans containing a total of 40 bags of heroine, 21 Oxycodone pills, 40 pills derivative of Oxycodone in a prescription bottle in neither persons name, and drug paraphernalia.

According to police, the driver was given an infraction for cutting off ther police cruiser, but not charged. 

Police say, Kurensky was charged with: sale and possession within distance of a school, drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics, illegal possession near school, illegal manufacturing, distribution, sale of prescription drugs, and failure to keep drugs in original container. According to police Kurensky's bond was set at $50,000.

Rodia was charged with illegal possesion near school, possession of nacotics, use and possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal manufacturing, distribution, sale of prescription drugs, and sale and possession within distance of a school, according to police. Rodia's bond was set at $50,000, according to police.

Norwalk Man Arrested For Strangulation, Assault, and Threatening 

Police say, Omar Wilson, 35, of Norwalk was arrested on a warrant for his involvement in an domestic incident that occured Feb. 4, at 3am. 

According to police, the complainant came to police on Feb. 7 to report Wilson for allegedly assaulting her after a verbal arguement.

The complainant told Norwalk police that wilson grabbed her hair and swung her to the ground, where she hit her head, before striking her, and grabbing her by the neck, according to police reports. The complainant said, Wilson then left the scene, according to police. 

The woman says, she went to sleep after Wilson was gone, and woke up to Wilson allegedly choking her, police say. She told police, Wilson was verbally assaulting her and threatening to, "make her life a living hell." Police say there was at least one child in the house at the time.

Wilson was charged with starngulation in the third degree, assault, threatening, and injury/risk/ imparing morals, according to police. Police say Wilson's bond was set at $20,000.
