Two Men Shot In South Norwalk

Victims uncertain if gunshots came from passing car on Woodward Avenue.

Two men were shot Tuesday night while standing with a group of people on Woodward Avenue in South Norwalk.

Police were dispatched to the area of the South China restaurant, 44 Woodward Ave., at 11:39 p.m. on a report of a person shot. They located a 17-year-old city resident shot in the face who was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital.

While detectives were questioning the man, a second gunshot victim arrived by ambulance, a 20-year-old city resident who had been with the group. He was shot in the right leg.

Both said the shots may have come from a passing car.

Detectives investigated the crime scene. Wednesday morning, police spokesman Lt. Praveen John said investigators had no further information to release about the incident.
