Two Found Shot to Death in Car on Avenue B

It remains unclear whether the deaths are a double homicide or murder-suicide, Police Chief Harry W. Rilling said.

Two persons were found shot to death Saturday morning in a car parked on Avenue B.

A resident contacted police at around 7:45 a.m. to report there was a black car with a broken window and a person inside not moving.

Police Chief Harry W. Rilling said it's unclear if it's a double homicide or a murder-suicide.

The car was near the intersection of Avenue B and Crown Avenue. It was parked with the front end away from the curb, appearing as if it were in the midst of either being parallel parked or pulling away from the curb when the shooting occurred.

The other end of Avenue B intersects with Morton Street.

A resident said there was a man with a beard in the driver's seat.

The neighborhood is mostly residential. Residents stood behind yellow crime scene tape observing detectives and patrol officers initiate their investigation.

This is the first murder in Norwalk this year.
