Two Charged With Peddling Drugs and Possessing Shotgun

Case may be transferred to U.S. attorney for federal prosecution.

An undercover narcotics buy and bust operation by Norwalk Police Saturday night resulted in the arrest of two men allegedly found in possession of marijuana packaged for sale along with a sawed-off shotgun.

Shortly before 9 p.m., two members of the department’s Special Services Division in plain clothes reportedly pulled alongside a car they deemed suspicious parked in front of 1 Suncrest Road in Colonial Village. The officers reported making a purchase of marijuana, at which time they identified themselves and took into custody the two men in the car.

The officers reported the men’s car contained 13 grams of marijuana packaged for sale and a pistol-grip shotgun with the barrel sawed off. The shotgun was loaded with four shells, according to department spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Cotto.
