Tractor-Trailer Rollover on I-95 in Norwalk

The following press release and attached photos came to us from Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Edward Prescott:

"The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a tractor trailer rollover at the I-95 northbound entrance ramp from East Avenue, this morning at 4:45am. The City Carting trailer was full of trash and spilled its load
on the southern side of the ramps merging lane. The driver of the truck received minor injuries and was transported to Norwalk Hospital.

"Contractors from the carting company were being called in to load the trash into other trucks and to pump out the 200 gallons of diesel from the fuel tanks. A DEEP representative was also responding to supervise the off loading of the fuel before the truck could be up righted.

"Parkway Auto and Nat's towing were using their heavy duty wreckers to pull the truck from the East Avenue to assist the cleanup contractors, before working to up right the tractor and trailer. State and Norwalk
police were on scene controlling traffic and investigating the cause of the accident."
