Three Arrested for Connection to February Assault


Two Norwalk residents and one Bridgeport resident were arrested over the weekend on warrants stemming from an assault that occurred on Feb. 18, according to police. 

At around 8 p.m. that day, the victim, a 48 year-old man, was allegedly assaulted in front of Alexa Grocery on South Main Street by another man, police said. The victim also reported that the suspect stole two credit cards from his wallet and then ran away on foot. The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

According to police, a witness identified the suspect as "Mel" and said that he was accompanied by another man and a woman. After questioning additional witnesses, the police department applied for arrest warrants for Milton "Mel" Hudson, 53, of 36 Kossuth St., Lucinda Karma, 35, of 554 Soundview Ave., Bridgeport, and Juan Jiminez, 37, of 21 Taylor Ave., Norwalk.

Hudson was arrested on Sunday and charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, first-degree assault, second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault. His bond was set at $100,00 and he is scheduled to appear in court May 21. 

Karma was also arrested on Sunday and charged with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault. Her bond was set at $75,000 and she is scheduled to appear in court May 21. 

Jiminez was arrested on Saturday and charged with second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery. His bond is set at $50,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 20.
