Man Arrested for Sending Threatening Texts to Ex

The following information was provided by the Norwalk Police Department. Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of what police allege.

Nathaniel Howard, 23, of Norwalk was arrested on Monday, Feb. 6th for allegedly sending threatening texts to his ex-girlfriend.

observed the threats on her phone after she called to report the incident. Messages were of a concerning nature and Howard admitted that he “sent her some texts.” 

An exact count of the number of threatening messages was not reported.

Burglary Attempt 

On Monday, Feb. 6th at 6:44 p.m., received a call reporting a break in in progress at 48 Elmwood Avenue.

The caller had reportedly came home to his second floor residence and noticed bright flashlights in the first floor residence he lives above. He immediately went up the stairs to his home and called authorities. 

Two suspects, he described as white males dressed in black wearing ski masks, kicked in his door before fleeing the scene according to police.

There have been no arrests made, however, the case is still under investigation. 

Dog Bites Professional Dog Walker

According to a spayed female German Shepard named Kerry bit it’s walker Jackie Panagiotopoulls, 49, of Norwalk in her face. 

Panagiotopoulls bent down to say “goodbye” to the dog after their walk when the dog bit her. Panagiotopoulls suffered injuries requiring stiches to the right side of her nose and center of her lip. Medical professionals were sent to the scene according to police.
