Tenn. Man Arrested For Sex Assault in Norwalk
A 15-year old Norwalk girl was allegedly sexually assault by Tennessee man.
Norwalk Police officers arrested a Tennessee man on Thursday night for an alleged sexual assault on a 15-year old Nowalk girl that occurred last week, according to the police report.
Rhett Hughes, 18, from Tennessee was in Norwalk visiting friends last week. He was at an Olean Street apartment Friday, Jan. 27 where other people he did not know, including the victim, were hanging out.
According to the police report, Hughes and the victim started to talk and then went into the another room, where Hughes, allegedly, sexually assaulted the victim.

The victim did not tell anyone until last Wednesday, then went to the Norwalk Police Department on Thursday night to file a complaint. She had been previously examined at a clinic in Stamford and appeared to have bruising. Police arrested Hughes last night at the apartment where he had been staying.
Hughes was charged with first-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault and injury/risk/impairing morals. Bond was set at $100,000.
