Stratford Man Arrested for Allegedly Sending Threatening Pic to Ex

Mitch Ribeiro, 26, allegedly sent a picture of a motorcycle, a gun and a sign with a strange message, according to police.

 

A 26 year-old man was arrested on Monday after his ex-girlfriend accused him a sending a threatening text message, according to police.

The complainant, who is a Norwalk resident, told police that Mitch Ribeiro, 26, of 5 Sanford Place, Stratford, sent a picture of a motorcycle, a gun and a sign that read "If you are found here tonight, you'll be found here tomorrow" to her phone and she perceived the picture to be threatening. Ribeiro told police that the picture wasn't meant to be a threat and that he only wanted to show her his new motorcycle.

Ribeiro was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree threatening and his bond was set at $10,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
