Saturday Night Garage Fire on Nelson Ave Under Investigation

At 9:10p.m. Saturday evening, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple calls for a residential garage on fire at 21 Nelson Avenue

According to Norwalk Fire Dept., Engine 4 was first on scene and reported heavy smoke and fire on two sides of the garage, a one car detached garage approximately 6 ft. from the main house. 

Engine 4 stretched a 1 and ¾" handline and quickly extinguished the fire, which is under investigation by the fire marshal’s office.

After the fire was extinguished, an occupant of the house requested to be evaluated by Norwalk Hospital for smoke inhalation, though no other injuries were reported. 

Three engines, two ladder trucks, one rescue truck and one command car were on scene, according to a release fro the Norwalk Fire Dept.
