A Rome Street residence was burglarized sometime between 10 and 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13. The residents reported $2,600 worth of electronics—a Playstation 3, three iPods, two iPads, a Nintendo 3DS, a Nintendo Wii U, a Canon camera and a Dell laptop—were stolen. There were no signs of forced entry, and the possible point of entry could have been an unlocked bathroom window.

A 22-year-old Houston man was robbed while walking to his friend’s residence after leaving the Ginger Man early Wednesday morning. According to police, while the man and his friend were walking home, they were approached by two black males who were asking for money. The man took out his wallet, which was grabbed by one of the men. The man then tackled the thief and got on top of him and started hitting him. While this happened, more people came and grabbed the man’s wallet.

The wallet contained the man’s ID, $300 in cash and a credit card.

The culprit—described as a 45-year-old black man who stands at six feet and weighs 175 pounds—couldn’t not be picked out of a lineup, police said.
