Rocks Thrown Through Windows of 2 Darien Homes

Within an hour early Saturday morning, rocks were thrown through windows of two different Darien homes.

Rocks were thrown through windows of two Darien homes in the wee hours of Saturday morning, Darien police said.

Police gave these accounts of the similar incidents:

Revere Road, about 12:20 p.m.

A resident told police of hearing a loud noise at about 12:20 a.m. Later, he found a rock had been thrown through a bedroom window and was resting on a bed. The resident told police he didn't know what the damage would cost.

Edgerton Street, before 12:54 a.m.

A resident told police he had been awakened when his alarm company reported the activation of his home's alarm system.

When he checked the living room area, he found a rock had been thrown at the 4- by 4-foot picture window, but didn't make it through. It was found outside below the window. The outer part of the double-pane window was shattered.

We need an enforced town curfew on adolescent or misfits. A group of vandals roaming the streets after midnight reigning their terror and mischief across town for over 2 hours over a length of 2-3 miles needs to be stopped. A rock thrown through a window could have been a MURDER!? The vandals at large were very lucky, they didn't get caught. And lucky no one was injured.
